Today we recap Super Bowl XLVII, look at the NHL season, and talk about a small sort of news story that broke today in Rome. (It’s about Pope Benedict XVI.)

  1. Question: What do you think about the Lightning Striking twice at St. Peter’s Basilica hours after Pope Benedict’s announcement to resign. I was wondering what your thoughts are?..I’m sure lightning strikes there all the time and could be just a coincidence, but a good chance its could be from a higher power..? Do you personally think it could be the hand of God to either approve or disapprove the Pope decision and the direction the Catholic church is going? Thank You…Father’s, May God Bless You All! Also good podcast/show I really enjoy it!……….And oh yea.. Go Pens!! 🙂 Peace!

  2. Hey Cindy! Thanks for your comment and thanks again for listening!

My take on the lightning strike: The top of the dome of St. Peter’s is the highest point in the immediate area. If lightning is to strike someplace around there, it seems that this is a likely place. So I think it’s essentially a cool coincidence. And it made for a really nifty photo!
